"My name is Chris Lowther, living in Wotton Under Edge. I am writing to you as an accredited volunteer speaker for the Gloucestershire area on behalf of Open Doors UK & Ireland to see if I can be of service to you. Open Doors has for nearly 70 years been serving persecuted Christians around the world.

I am passionate in my commitment to stand with, and raise awareness of the needs and challenges faced by believers who seek to follow Jesus in those countries where just to be a Christian can result in serious opposition. This opposition can come from family, community, local or national authorities or a combination of all these, in ways that can be hard to imagine for us, living as we do in our relatively ‘liberal’ society.

I would love to come and serve you by sharing my passion with your ‘group’, whether large or small, formal or informal. Open Doors provides a wealth of resources for all ages, often visual in nature, which I use to assist in providing up to date information, encouragement and challenge to us in the so called ‘free’ church, so that we might be better equipped to both stand with our suffering family and learn lessons of faith from them."
